Helvetica the NFT
—New without dismissing what Helvetica carries
Monotype and KnownUnknown invited me to contribute to a digital collection celebrating Helvetica Now. I produced three animations, each minted as an NFT. Helvetica carries more cultural baggage than almost any typeface in existence — everybody has a position on it. The brief was to find something that felt genuinely new without being irreverent about what it represents.
